2 cups flour (all purpose)
4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt (Kosher)
6 tbsp frozen butter (grated)
3/4 cup buttermilk
Preheat over to 425 degrees farenheit. Mix the dry ingredients and then add the butter and buttermilk. Mix gently till it just comes together. Flour a work surface. Lay the dough on the flour and roll out to about 1/2 -3/4 inch. Flour the dough and fold in half. Roll the dough and flour the surface 4 – 5 folds. Then press dough out to about 1 inch thick. Cut with glass or biscuit cutter. Use the scraps to press together then cut. Place side by side in a pan. Bake at 425º for 12 minutes. Then brush with melted butter.
I sometimes make it the night before and bake in the am. Cover tightly when in the refrigerator.
